Nancy Hammel is hard-working and determined; there is plenty of evidence for this in what she has already accomplished before age thirty. After obtaining her undergraduate degree in English at Daemon College, she attended the Syracuse University College of Law. While she may have once considered law school the ultimate “procrastination technique” in order to figure out what she wanted to do with her life, she soon found her groove. Nancy was president of her class for three years in a row, and upon graduation, she worked as an Assistant District Attorney and criminal prosecutor in New York for a year before moving down to Texas. Now living in Austin, Nancy spends her free time volunteering for the National Domestic Violence Hotline, helping women who are, at times, uninformed and afraid, understand what their options are.
