A Work in Progress

by Serena Spinello

My manifestation perpetually revises.
Feelings smear
Sentiments amend
Dispositions collide.
I am
Slices, bits, fragments, divisions, shapes, squiggles and whole.
Conviction meets vulnerability.
Vibrant and blurred.
Insight inhabits my mind not eyes.
I am
Wrecked, mended, variable, constant, fixed, absolute and partial.
My core is
Cobalt then jade then ashen then
I fancy it to be.
I am
Average, incomparable, substantial, otherworldly.
My wingspan is extensive and abridged.
I’ll fall
I’ll ascend
I’ll rise
Bursting, vacant, engaged, alone.
