The artist says, "The Night Series presents photographs of deep night where images of plant life are caught in the glare of brilliant lights. The work infers psychological states such as vulnerability and isolation."
Elise Rasmussen received her BFA from Ryerson University in 2004 and her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2007. She has exhibited her work in galleries in North America and Europe and will be traveling to Newfoundland this fall to work as an artist-in-residence at the Pouch Cove Foundation.
